a function is periodic in 2 directions ?? i dont know what you mean by the above.

if f(x+k) = f(x) then that function also satisfies f(x-k) = f(x) and is at least periodic in direction k and -k ...

im sure you meant something meaningfull but its a mystery to me.

plz be more formal.
