New method of spam?
#1
See the couple of last anonymous registrations; for me this looks like a random entry at math-skill-level and then only a signature linking to some website (lawyers, for instance, or "black jack"). Let me state frankly: I'm already getting to feel uncomfortable with that growing crowd of anonymous "members" which come in like an unending november-rain and do not anything to make this place a comfortable and constructive place for discussion of concepts, implementation and problems of tetration.

One does not need membership/socializing if one wants only read/check/be virtually present at what others do.

Do "we have" the members or do the members (attempt to) "have us"?

I think its still the established form of spam, but it gets more and more.
And methods of checking e-mail address, IP and name (this board uses the list of www.stopforumspam.com) can be circumvented.

I also keep the policy of not deleting members, that didnt post but also have no signature or other advertising. Perhaps one day I should prune all older 0-posters.

What about the member racyhall11 ?

It seems that this is a new type of robot, which produces msg's by copying excerpts from some manuals/online-dictionaries selected by some mathematical keyword. See the three posts this morning.

Hey, I am a bit slow in removing spam bots.
But this technique is used already by previous bots.

Hmm, how could you say this given the anonymity of the internet?
