I'm also in the same ship with Gottfried and Daniel, I really felt like you were trolling...

I give you one of many example because I'd like to offer some rational explanation just in case you are just a 12yo kid that still doesn't know how to behave on forums and doesn't deserve an harsh critique.

Here's the example: this is a math forum, not one about poetry or typography. That means that typography matters here. Writing something with \mathbb or \mathbbf does a world of difference. Math ppl communicate using notation so it is matter of etiquette and good manner to try to be as clear as possible with notation, not abusing typography too much, try to use standard notations, be as constructive as possible.

Mathematicians should try to build friendly and open environments where discussion is possible... math is something difficult since it is all inside our head. It is often super hard when we are not familiar with it and trivial once we get used to it.

Doing what highschool or smartass undergrad kids do, being overly minimalist, behaving as it is a competition to who is smarter and find small idiotic errors.... IS NOT WHAT HELPS REAL MATH COMMUNICATION.

There are rule into mathematical research communication... and if you read the great researchers you'll get it.

0 - if something seems wrong maybe you are not understanding it: ask more details, ask for more context!
1 - always do give the best interpretation of other ppl' communications, if you see something is true only for a case, maybe the other mathematician just meant that case but omitted the context. You always take the true and interesting part from everything.
2 - you wish to be understood, you try to make the job of other people reading and understanding what you say as easy as possible. The extra work to make yourself clear is always on your shoulders.
3 - if something doesn't interest you, don't ask, don't comment. Life is short, make a good use of your time and do not waste others people time.

4 - Do your homework, when it is possible. If you are ready to go deep into a topic, do lot of effort and study the literature, before asking involved questions. Understand the context.
5 - Be as friendly as possible with the notation. If the notation is new, or it is not common, define it. Help other ppl, be friendly.

And then also some sentences from me (I totally agree with the previous speakers):

These mind-droppings ala "I was here" don't help anyone on the forum.

If you really want to talk about your state of mind, you could open a thread in the community section telling us your story about your trouble and joy with Tetration, and *there* you could point out how many times you asked yourself "why".

Summarizing, a rule for you would be:
If you don't have to say anything (meaningful, important, valuable, inspiring, etc) then don't say it!

Also you can ask yourself the question: how true is my involvement with Tetration? Do I just want to drop smart comments on every old thread I find, or do I want to *understand* what was discussed in the thread and what people explain to me (and accordingly learn the prerequisites like formal power series, holomorphic functions, complex dynamics) and thus being able to clarify stuff for myself, for others and to contribute.

Ok, and to answer your original question: I withdraw super moderator rights from GFR, because a) he never asked for it and b) it's quite dangerous if you're not used to it (you can easily edit someone else's post unintentionally, because you think it's a quote inside your own post - you know, with long and nested quotes... and I think something similar even happened) and c) I didn't see him on the forum anymore.
