Glossary needed

I'm having difficulty with the definitions used here of different types of iteration and tetration. Searching isn't very helpful. A small glossary would be great.

That was actually the intention of the Tetration Wiki, but it seems there is not enough reward to engage there.

This was always Mphlee's gripe. And I agree with him. The only counter argument I can think of, is that mathematical jargon needs to evolve naturally. And then 50 years later all the terms are put in a strong dictionary kind of format. I do love the tetration wiki, but it is not as expansive as we'd all like it to be. Honestly, I don't think there's an easy solution to this. I think a strong first step though, would be to agree on uses of terms. Recently for example. I had always assumed my definition of local iteration was the same as regular iteration. But the more you press it, local iteration means something slightly different than regular iteration--though where local iteration converges, it is the regular iteration. Which can be confusing as hell.

I'm not so sure we can make a glossary just yet, because we are still fleshing out a lot of these concepts. But I agree with you entirely, Daniel. It can be frustrating.

Hi, I apologize for the inactivity, I'm very, very busy, working almost 7 days a week.
Allow me to comment this point.
About the reward. The forum is not very active, we need to have more new and fresh ppl join but this need some kind of advertisement... ppl should talk about tetration and of the tetration forum on twitter, discord and youtube. Now more then ever math divulgation is rich and prosperous. But this would attract lot of cranks and low level posting.

Summarizing: the wiki needs a purpose... people that uses and needs it. But this will happen only if
1) the tetration forum becomes more popular, it should attract students willing to workout the details and literature;
2) the tetration forum has enough good admins to handle and govern the activity of the incoming flux of users.

Is not only about reward.
If I had enough time, I'd like to fill the wiki with basic definition and build up from there, but... when I had some time to invest in this I felt was premature to begin such an effort when the future of the wiki and the forum is still not 100% certain.

Regards.
