Well it has been two months since the last post. I hope there is some agreement regarding systems administration as many problems are best served by a quick fix. I've been learning phpBB administration on my website so I might be of greater help.

Edit: Should we look at getting a backup domain in place to insure redundancy of domains?

Unfortunately I am not in a good health state - for a longer time already - and so not able to dive into the marvellous treasures unfolding on the forum.
Though I don't suffer from a terminal illness there is still the uncertainty about the future of the forum, in case something happens to me.

I am very sorry you are not in a good health state.
Do you know what condition you have and what caused it?

@Daniel I am missing Sheldon in the moment. I didn't hear anything from him in the last time and he didn't reply to my PM. He is one of the pillars in the forum and I definitely want to have him in the "inner circle". So I am a bit concerned and postponing stuff.

@Catullus health issues are normally discussed in privacy. Anyways it's probably some kind of progressed Lyme disease, but one can not say for sure. Any attempts of treatment were ineffective so far. But please, this is not the place to discuss it any further.

I believe Sheldon is hard at work, and living through the tumultuous times that are happening in Texas right now. He hasn't replied to my last two emails and he's usually pretty prompt. Last I spoke to him he said he was feeling uninspired by tetration, and IBM had him slaving away. He said he may make time this summer to come back to writing a paper on his algorithm from fatou.gp. Last I spoke we were working through how to formalize the algorithm and sketch out proofs of convergence. But then he seemed to be too busy with work.

If I let them go they will immediately be bought for the display of ads. Still I don't want to renew them if we are doing nothing new with the tetration forum. Any feedback on taking further measures to preserve the forum?

Ok, it really seems we can't involve Sheldon anymore.
Let's plan to move the forum to tetrationforum.org.
If I remember correctly, you played around a bit with the MyBB forum software already, Daniel?
I would have some time to spend in the coming week (starting at 1st of May),
maybe we meet up and discuss further details.
I think Gottfried, James, Daniel and me should participate, perhaps MphLee also.
But even if not all are available, I would like to push the topic and not delaying it any longer.
(Conclusion: I don't know about tetrationforum.com, but you definitely should keep tetrationforum.org)

I started by changing the forum admin address to tetrationforum(at)gmail.com. This is an email address that I created long time ago exactly for this purpose: To have a group forum Admins/Moderators having access to the e-mail Account and from there answering new member requests, or deal with any e-mail coming to this address. For now I invited JmsNxn and Daniel to this address - unfortunately only gmail-Addresses can be invited as members (so Gottfried's or MphLee's
address didn't work).
