Even thought it seems the the tet and cheta functions do this "ringing", how do you know two tet functions (to different bases) also do it? Remember how different they are on the complex plane.

Yeah, I used the published coefficients. I do have a program for generating them for other bases, but it's real slow and doesn't give as much accuracy as those coefficients in the paper.
